The sun's rays were touching the forest of the Yellow World and making the green leaves shine brightly. Birds were feeding the delicious food of the Yellow World to their offspring. Monkeys were hanging from the trees and playing with each other, while eating healthy bananas from the trees. Snakes were crawling on the ground. Every living creature in the forest was living its everyday life as usual. So where are the Hunter's group's humans in the forest?
Vaztik was present in the Hunter's group. Her co-leader was also there. Looking at Vaztik, Bolo asked, "You came today!?"
Vaztik saw Bolo. She knew this wasn't his sentence's end. He had much more to say than just why hadn't she come in the last two days.
"Yes," Vaztik said.
"Where have you been? Haven't seen you for the last two days," Bolo asked.
"I had something to do," Vaztik answered.
"Something. What something that took you two days to get here?" Bolo asked.
"I had an important thing to do. That's why I didn't come," Vaztik answered again.
"More important than this?" Bolo asked mockingly.
Bolo was already suspicious about Vaztik because she hadn't come for two days to the forest to lead the Hunter's group. He had also inquired with Viko about Vaztik. She'd recently joined the Hunter's group, and Bolo knew that she didn't have anything more important to do, which would make her skip coming to the forest. That was the reason he was curious about her and her important thing.
She couldn't tell him why she was absent, no matter how interested Bolo was in Vaztik's affairs. Vaztik couldn't tell Bolo that she went to the Red and Blue World, which is why she didn't come to the Hunter's group of the Yellow World. She couldn't tell this to anyone except for her friends, Viko, Drott, and Juan, who already knew about it.
So Vaztik tried to avoid the conversation, hoping that Bolo's interest would somehow lower.
"If it wasn't important enough, I wouldn't have skipped coming here. Isn't that obvious?" Vaztik asked Bolo.
"Sure it is!" Bolo said.
Vaztik shut him down. But deep down, he was still interested to know about it as Bolo was always searching for a chance to set Vaztik down. So he couldn't let it slip through his fingers if this was that chance for him.
In fact, this was the chance for Bolo. This time Vaztik hadn't won the Bulls Without Borders, or talked to the trees, but this time she had broken the law. She had broken the Law of Separation of the Worlds. She had done a crime according to the law of her world. The crime's punishment was the death penalty, and her friends' lives were also at stake with her.
If someone knew that Vaztik had broken the law, there were chances that people would also know about Viko, Drott, and Juan. They had committed the same crime. They were also deserving of the same punishment as Vaztik. So, Vaztik had to be cautious that no one knew about this secret.
In reality, Vaztik and her friends hadn't done anything wrong. What had they done? They had stepped into each other's worlds. They had stepped into different parts of their own world. They had visited places of their own world that they had never seen before. They had made friends across the borders, which others thought was harmful and dangerous.
Vaztik and her friends hadn't harmed anyone. They didn't do anything devilish, or bad. In fact, they had done something to save their world, the earth. They had stopped that robot from gathering data of their world and taking it with it to its world. A world that no one knew what it was like, or what the people there were up to.
Vaztik's friends were just normal human beings. The young blood was curious about its world and willing to look outside the borders, and think out of the box. The uncommon thinking that was interested to know the point of view of others made friends with people who were said to be their enemies.
This was also because they didn't trust each other at first, which was natural because of the situation between their worlds, and the stories they had heard and seen with their own ears and eyes, respectively. But what made them different and bold enough to see the other side of the coin was that they had a broader mindset of listening and understanding other people's perspectives.
They also tended to go against the odds and make friends from other places. But it's also a known fact that boldness and courage bring a lot of dangers and difficulties for the person that shows the audacity to bring change into the norms.
Usually, people don't admire change until it becomes a norm. People like to live ordinary lives, do ordinary things, and live like everybody else is living their life. People generally don't try to live extraordinary lives. However, they all still wish to try to fulfill their desires. But there's always someone who will think differently and have a different approach to things. That person will think differently about matters.
So, that person will go against all else and do the uncommon thing. This is the type of person who will live the extraordinary life that he has always wished for. This is the type of person who sets examples for the whole world. It's not a piece of cake to be different and set examples by doing things people usually don't even think about. There's a lot of risk in doing so.
Vaztik and her friends were also in a lot of trouble for breaking the norms of their world. To the world, they had broken the most severe law that nobody was allowed to break. They were eligible for the penalty of death if they got caught. There was a lot of danger waiting to come for them. They had to be cautious, especially Vaztik, because she already had a lot of enemies. If the people who hated her we're to become aware of the fact that she had broken the law, they would definitely not remain quiet about it.
Vaztik had been on the radar of many people's hate just because she was a girl. She had won the Bulls Without Borders and not only won, but she was also the first and only one who had completed all of its segments and conquered the Last Monument. A lot of people praised her because of it, but there were a lot of people that hated her because of this, as well.
Bolo and Leña were some of them. Bolo was a man who liked to be liked by all the people, especially the special ones like the leaders. He wanted to win the game so that people would like and praise him. But Vaztik won, and killed his chance of winning. Whereas the chances of Bolos' winning were already less because there was Leña in the game, who was more powerful and better than him, despite the fact, Bolo hated Vaztik because she won that day, and he couldn't win.
Furthermore, now he had to co-lead the Hunter group with her even though he had suggested it. Bolo's main purpose was to defame Vaztik, but he hadn't found a chance to do it yet. Vaztik was very cautious around him. Now she had to be more careful, because if Bolo found out that Vaztik had trespassed the borders of their world, he wouldn't let the matter go without damaging her reputation.
Leña hated her because she was the one he had lost to, a girl, for the first time in his life. He didn't like her because whenever Vaztik's name went into history as the first girl winning the Bulls Without Borders, Leña's name would come with her as the person losing to a girl for the first time in history. When, in fact, Leña was a brave person, always good in the game and loyal to his world. Leña had won the Bulls Without Borders in the past as well. But this year's loss was greater than that.
That game hadn't only made him lose his dignity, but also his health as well. He had been the most severely injured after the race. He had taken complete bed rest for many days while he was on medication and treatment. His leg was all right now, but it wasn't completely fine. He could walk, but not properly. Running was also very difficult and painful. Every time he felt the pain in his leg, or saw the scar on his face, he remembered the game, and how badly he had lost to a girl. And he hated Vaztik for that, all of it.
Bolo was about to ask something else of Vaztik to find out more about her absence when Leader Leña came riding on his bull to the forest. Bolo saw him coming so he kept silent. Vaztik and the other Hunters also saw Leña coming.
"Welcome, Leader Leña!" Bolo said to Leña when he reached them.
Leña nodded his head. Leña was quite aware of the buttering nature of Bolo as he had known him for a long time. They were both leaders of the Yellow World and were working for their world's safety.
"How is your leg now?" Bolo again asked.
Leña answered him, "It's getting better."
Vaztik also greeted him in a proper manner because she was the co-leader of the hunting team. Also, she didn't have any problem with Leña; Leña disliked him, not Vaztik.
"Hello, Leader Leña! Glad to hear that your leg is better now," Vaztik said politely.
But no matter how good or harmless her intentions were, it didn't work as it was intended to. Rather it made him remember the whole event again. He remembered the worst memory of his life again. It was flashing before his eyes. He felt bad and angry. He was angry at Vaztik because he thought she did it purposely to mock him.
"Really?" Leña asked angrily.
Although he was angry and wanted to shout at Vaztik, he kept his voice low so the Hunters couldn't hear him. He didn't want to let others know about the tension between him and Vaztik. He knew people didn't care about him, or even Vaztik. They would just be entertained by the news and create unhappy stories and rumors about them.
He said it to her, but Bolo still heard him. Bolo knew that Leña didn't like that he got defeated by Vaztik that day, but he didn't know that Leña was still angry at her like him. Bolo thought of bringing Leña to his side to embarrass and defame Vaztik in front of everyone. So he started thinking about ways to bring Leña to his side.
On the other hand, Vaztik wasn't expecting this kind of rude reply from Leña, but she knew it wouldn't all be roses. So she kept her calm and again replied to him politely, "Yes. It's a thing to be happy about," she said.
Now Leña wasn't expecting this kind of polite behavior from her. He thought she would answer him rudely or something like that, just as he did to her. He also knew it wasn't the buttering that Bolo used to do. Her answer, especially the way she answered, surprised him. So he didn't say anything further.
The same sun rays were touching the grounds of the Blue World as well, but on their way, they were hindered by the many particles in the air. The low-rise buildings of the Blue World were also obstacles in the way of the sunlight. Still, it reached many parts of the Blue World. It reached the ground and the trees as well. The trees livened up when the sun's rays reached them. The birds were looking for food to feed their offspring. The birds and animals in this world didn't have the delicious food the Yellow World's creatures had. They still got better food than the living species of the Red World.
Drott was sleeping in his bed when the sunshine lit up his room. It didn't wake him up. What woke him up was the voice that was coming from outside his room. It was the voice of his mother. She was calling him from the kitchen downstairs.
"Drott, are you still asleep?...
Drott, wake up!...
Drott!!..." His mother was shouting from downstairs to wake him up.
Drott heard his mother's voice while sleeping. He recognized it and was aware of his surroundings. He was too tired to wake up, but then he heard his mother say something that made him get up from bed.
"Drott, are you gonna wake up or not? I have something for you. If you don't get up, I'll open it," his mother shouted again.
Drott wondered what his mother was talking about that she 'had for him that she would open'. He thought about the bag where he had brought food from the Yellow World last night. He worried that if his mother opened it, it would cause a lot of trouble for him. She would ask many questions about it, after finding out about his secret.
He immediately got up and shouted: "Mom, I'm awake. I'm coming, don't open it up!"
His mother heard him, so she returned to the kitchen to finish her work. Drott heard her going back to the kitchen and relaxed.
When Drott came downstairs after getting freshened up, he came to the dining table where his mother was eating her breakfast. His father was also there eating breakfast. His parents watched him with questioning eyes. It looked like they wanted to ask him a lot of questions. Drott got worried, wondering if they opened the bag and saw what was inside it. He wished it not to be true. If this was the case, he would be in so much trouble.
His parents didn't encourage him to do what he liked because they thought of him as weak and fragile. They didn't appreciate him even after winning the most dangerous game in his world, 'The Wolf Look'. They just wanted him to live an ordinary life like they lived. They didn't want him to do risky, or dangerous, things. If they knew that their son had broken the Law of Separation of the Worlds, they would get enormously mad at him. They weren't going to support him in this matter because they had never supported him, even in small things, and this was too big.
They would probably disown him, or kill him themselves before he could face the death penalty. But they were never going to support him. That was what Drott thought, seeing their expressions. But he didn't say anything. He waited for them to say whatever they wanted. The culprit doesn't accept his crime by himself. You have to make him accept it.
Drott quietly sat at the table while his parents continued looking at him with questioning expressions. Finally his mother said something, and Drott felt relieved. Not because he wanted to talking, but because he was no longer waiting.
"You slept in late today," Drott's mother said.
"Yes, I couldn't wake up earlier," Drott replied.
"And why's that?" his father asked seriously.
Till that moment Drott understood that there was something behind all these questions. This was not a normal type of conversation. This was the type of conversation parents have with their children when they know that their kids have done something wrong, or they've gotten a complaint about their kids from someone. Drott wanted to know what it was. But Drott played it cool. He answered his parents' questions very calmly. His aim was to get the information that his parents had. He didn't want to give them information they didn't know about.
"I was tired; maybe that's why," Drott answered his father.
"Don't you have school today?" Drott's mother asked.
"I have only one class today, which is in the afternoon. I'll go then," Drott answered again.
"Where were you last night?" His father asked in a serious tone.
This was what his parents wanted to know about, and, Drott, also, wanted to know what his parents knew. His father had come to the point. The previous questions were just for checking tones and vibes.
"You came very late last night. Where were you?" his mother asked.
Drott didn't know what to answer, so he was trying very hard not to give any information that would give them the slightest clue about where he was last night.
"I was out with my friends," Drott said.
"Friends? When did you gain friends?" His father asked.
Drott' s heart skipped a beat at this. He realized he had said the wrong thing to his parents. He was quiet, thinking about what to say next, how to get out safely.
His father continued, "As far as I know, you don't have any friends."
"Yes, Drott, I don't know any of your friends either," his mother said, agreeing with his father.
"Then what friends were you with last night?" his father asked seriously.
Now his father had come to the tone at which Drott had to break his silence. He couldn't remain quiet anymore as it would also bring trouble to him. He had to answer something. He was thinking hard about what to answer. He didn't want to lie to them, but he couldn't tell them the truth.
So, he said, "I made some friends at the game. I was with them last night."
It made his parents calm a little. They bought his story. He didn't have friends before, but he could have made friends on the day of the game. This story didn't seem to have any flaws. But this wasn't the end; his parents had more to ask.
"But why were you so late last night? Where were you?" his father asked.
"You never come this late. Where were you with your new friends?" His mother asked.
"Who are your new friends, by the way?" his father asked.
"Do we know any of them?" his mother asked.
Now, his parents had bombarded him with the heavy questions. He felt the weight of the questions over him as if he were lying under a heavy rock. But he had to get out from under that rock, so he started to move his hands and feet to move that rock from above him.
"I didn't have any friends. That doesn't mean that I can never have any friends. As I said earlier, I made new friends at the game. And I was with them last night. We were in the forest playing a wolf game that, Dad, you used to play with your friends when you were my age," Drott told a made-up story to his parents.
Again he made a very good story. There were no flaws in this one either. He also mentioned his father's childhood, which made it more relatable, so it felt authentic to them. His parents believed him.
Drott continued his story and said, "We had just met, so we were trying to get to know each other, and we were also playing the game in the forest. So it took a little more time, and that's why I was late."
The further addition to the story didn't leave any place for doubt or disbelief. They bought it completely.
"If that's the case, then it's alright," his father said.
Now, his tone wasn't as serious as it was before.
"We were just worried about you. That's why we were asking you all this," his mother said.
His parents felt a little bad that they were interrogating their son as if he was a criminal or something. However, they were just doing it because they were worried, and cared about him.
On the other hand, Drott was sinking into the ground because he had not only lied to his parents but it had been a huge lie. He had also made them feel bad about their behavior, for caring for him. Drott was not a disobedient child, neither were his parents the jailor types. They were very strict, but not the type that would make your children hate you.
Drott had no friends, and he had never come late to his house. He usually stayed in the house and reads books whenever he was free, or went to the forest, but he always returned on time. He was this late for the first time, so his parents worried about him. That's why they asked him all those serious questions. This whole scenario had turned the conversation into an interrogation.
But Drott's story made it all settle down. It turned into a conversation again. Drott read a lot of books, and it sharpened his mind a lot. He had made a quick story in no time and on the spot, which saved him from getting in a lot of trouble. This is the power of intelligence.
Intelligence can bring a lot of destruction, or peace, depending on how it's used. If it's in a good direction, it will bring peace, and if it's for the wrong reason, it will bring destruction. Here, Drott had used his intelligence for the wrong reason, but his aim was not to bring destruction. He wanted to save himself, and a lot of other people who were related to the truth, Vaztik, Viko, and Juan. His method of lying was undoubtedly wrong, but his purpose wasn't wrong. He was ashamed that he had lied to his parents, but he was relieved that they didn't know what the actual truth was.
"I know, mom; you both care about me and are worried about me," Drott said, trying to make his parents feel good.
His mother smiled, and his father was also relieved now. Their facial expressions were relaxed now.
"Make sure that you won't be that late the next time. You aren't that big yet," his father said, being a father.
"You should be more responsible next time, okay?" his mother said, following his father.
"Yes, I'll take care," Drott showed obedience to his parents.
At this, his mother smiled and said, "Good boy." She further asked, "Tell us about your new friends; what are they like?"
Hearing the word 'Friends,' Drott remembered his real friends, Vaztik, Viko, and Juan, and not the ones he made up. The thought of his new friends brought a smile to his face.
He happily said, "They're really good people."
For the first time in his life, he had good friends. They were the kind of people who could be called actual friends. He was happy about it. Seeing his happiness, his parents also became happy. They realized that they must be good people, and that he had really become friends with them, and, they made him smile.
"That's great!" his father said, smiling.
"I'm happy for you," his mother also said, smiling.
"Thanks, mom and dad," Drott said, smiling, too.
Suddenly, Drott realized that his parents didn't know about his trespassing and anything related to it. That meant they hadn't opened his bag. Then what was the thing that his mother was talking about opening? Drott was wondering what it could be. He looked around but didn't see anything like that there.
His mother saw him looking around, so she asked him, "Are you looking for something?"
"Yes, mom, you said that you had something for me. What was it?" Drott answered.
"Oh, that! I almost forgot about that in all this talking. Thanks for reminding me," his mother said.
She stood up and went to the desk placed in the living room. She opened one of the drawers and started looking for something in it. When she returned to the table, she was holding something in her hand. It looked like a letter. She handed it over to her son.
Drott held it in his hands, looked at it with surprise, and asked, "A letter?"
Drott was wondering who could have sent him this letter. He had to open it to find out. Drott turned the letter, and it was sealed with a stamp. On the seal was written, "The Government of the Blue World."
Like the two other worlds, the sun's rays also showered on the Red World. But its atmosphere and infrastructure didn't let the rays reach the ground. First, the sun's rays had to deal with the air's pollutants. If somehow the rays penetrated the cover of pollution over the Red World, they had to face the big high-rise buildings before reaching the ground. There were so many buildings that the rays couldn't reach the ground. But the grounds surface was still lit up by indirect light from the sun. The trees also got indirect sunlight. Therefore, the trees and plants of the Red World are mostly dark and dry and look as if they are dead.
The Red World people didn't seem to care about whether the sun's rays reached their grounds, or not. They could see the beautiful sunrises and sunsets from their high-rise buildings, and they got the sunshine into their buildings. So, they didn't worry about whether the sunshine was reaching the ground or not. Some of their buildings reached above the clouds. People who live on those floors could see that they could be beneath the clouds when they look outside their windows.
The building in which Juan and his parents live is one such building. Its top floors reach the clouds. If you were standing on any of those floors, you could see the layer of clouds beneath you. It felt like you were in heaven, or outside the world. It's an amazing feeling, but not everyone can have that feeling. Only the people who could enter the building of Juan's parents and were allowed to get to those floors could see that view.
This building was owned by Juan's parents. They lived there as well as worked there. As they were the court judges, they went to the court for the trials and hearings. But Juan's parents were rich by birth. They had businesses from their ancestors, which they also took care of together by fulfilling their passion, which was being in the judiciary system of their world and bringing peace and justice to their world.
So, many floors were reserved for the businesses of the judges. There were offices of employees, conference rooms, and meeting rooms. There were also apartments for the employees in the same building, so they didn't have to travel to the office. Three floors were reserved for the accounting department. There was a management department on one floor.
The reception area, the lobby, the lift, and staircase, and other functional rooms like kitchens and washing areas were on the ground floor. The basements were reserved for parking. There were offices on multiple floors where the employees worked for the different businesses the judges owned.
Other than the floors for the accounting and management departments, there were floors on which there were apartments. On two floors, there were only restaurants and cafeterias that served different foods. As so many people live and work in this building, there had to be multi-cuisine food for the different food interests of the people. Still, the food from the Yellow world was everybody's favorite.
There were also some floors which were for sports and games. Indoor games and sports like swimming, squash, badminton, tennis, and other games could be played in that building. A big football stadium was open to the sky on the top floor of that building. It had a moveable roof that could be opened and closed per the requirements. When it rained, or snowed, the stadium was covered with a roof, so it didn't get wet, or snow covered. When the weather was fine, the roof was removed, and you could play at the top of the high-rise building.
Only the sky above and clouds below could be seen at that place. Playing in that stadium felt like playing in fairy land. But the people who had access to that place could only go there and play.
This building also had meeting areas for the judges when something related to their professions required meeting and conversation. The judges would invite people from the higher monarchy, and the subordinates of the King and Queen, and have meetings with them. This floor on which they had meetings was only accessible to Juan and his parents, no one else.
As Juan was their son, he had access to any place in that building, just like his parents. But still, his parents had told him not to come to the meeting area unless, or until, it was necessary, as serious topics were discussed in that area. And there were other places for Juan to play and do his activities in the building. Juan was a good boy, and he followed his parents instructions.
Juan and his parents lived on one whole floor of the building. They lived on the same floor. They were a small family, and Juan's parents wanted him to live with them, not on different floors like some stranger, or apartment fellow. Juan also wanted to live with his parents as he had no friends other than his monkey. So, he also loved to live on the same floor as his parents.
The floor area was bigger than many villas, and it was acres in size. Only the three of them lived on the whole floor, plus Juan's monkey. The place where they live is more luxurious and deluxe than many luxurious and fancy villas commonly observed.
Admiring their son's interest, Juan's parents had also made a laboratory in the building for him. In the lab he did all the experiments, and made all the inventions, that he could think of. He loved to experiment in his lab. It was his favorite place. The lab was created as a secret place as per the demand of Juan. Therefore, it could be accessed from the lowest floor of the building.
Juan was very sensitive about his work and inventions. He didn't like it for anybody to disturb his work, or experiments. Therefore, only Juan could go into the lab. The lab door scanned the eyes of the person entering it, and if it didn't match Juan's retina, then the door wouldn't open. So, only Juan could enter the lab, along with the people he took with him.
Before last night he had only allowed his pet, Poro, to enter with him in the lab. His parents weren't even allowed to go there. It wasn't like that forever. Formerly, Juan's parents could go there as they were the ones who had created the lab for Juan. But one day they accidentally destroyed one of the experiments on which Juan was working for many days.
Juan's parents were curious about what he had been working on for many days. So, they went to the lab to see it while Juan slept. They were checking out his new invention, but they accidentally destroyed it by dropping it on the floor. In the meantime, Juan woke up from sleeping and came to the lab to finish his work, until he saw his parents standing next to his destroyed invention on which he had worked for the past thirty-three days.
He felt so bad, and was so devastated seeing it. His parents were also feeling bad, and ashamed, because they knew he'd been working hard on it. But they couldn't do anything for Juan at the time. Sorry wasn't going to work either. It took Juan two to three days to get over that trauma, but he got better.
After that incident Juan forgave his parents, but told them they couldn't come into the lab without his permission. He asked them to make the retina-scanning doors at the lab's entrance so that only he could get inside it and no one else. His parents were at fault and didn't have to go into the lab. They knew what Juan did there; experimentation, playing, and book reading. So they agreed to secure the lab with retina access.
That was the day after. Except for Juan, no human had entered his laboratory, except for last night. Last night Juan brought some strangers to the lab that weren't from his own world but from the other worlds.
But to Juan, these people weren't strangers. They were his friends. He had kind of developed trust and understanding in a short period. He was so certain, from his instincts, that he could trust these people, that he brought them to his secret lab, and showed them what was there, and how he worked there. This was quite unbelievable for Juan, too, but it did happen.
Juan was in his lab looking at the robot's things that were left. Juan didn't sleep last night. He spent the whole night in the lab looking at the data they got from the robot. But it was neither the robot, nor the data from the robot, that kept him awake all night. It was something else, because of which he was so worried that he had to put his mind on something else. Otherwise, it would drive him mad.
It was the thing that he wanted to tell his friends, but he couldn't since they weren't with him, and he also didn't know how they would react when they heard about it.
Juan had heard something his parents were talking about, which wasn't good news. It was making him worried.
When Juan came back to his world, he saw his parents in their room talking with each other. They looked serious. Juan knew it was about something important or his parents wouldn't be up till that late. He knew his parents used to go to sleep early as they had a lot of matters to deal with in the mornings, which included their duties as judges, and their businesses.
If his parents were up until that late, there must be something very important that they were talking about. Their facial expressions also told Juan that this was not a regular serious matter, but a big one.
Juan couldn't resist hearing what they were talking about. Juan left Poro at one side of the hall and went quietly near his parent's bedroom door. He stood there quietly and listened to them.
He heard they were talking about the world. The Red, Blue, and the Yellow Worlds. He stood there and listened to the whole thing that they were discussing with each other. They were angry, mad, and frustrated. They were also very worried and tense. So was Juan because the issue was like that.
After discussing it for quite a while, Juan's mother asked of her husband with incredible tension, "What are we going to do about it? Don't we have to do something about it? We can't ignore it; we must do something to stop it."
His father was worried and was thinking about what to answer his wife. Seeing his wife so tense with her questions made him more worried. He didn't know what to say to her. He wanted to say something hopeful to give her a little hope and calm her down, but how could he give someone else hope when he was despondent.
His wife further said, shouting at her husband, "Why are you quiet? Why are you not saying anything? Please say something; please at least say something."
Juan's father saw his wife's dismay, so he tried to calm her down by saying, "It's okay. We'll do something about it. Nothing bad will happen this time. It'll be alright! Don't you worry…. It will be alright!"
As her husband said this to calm her down, she hugged him tightly. Listening to the hopeful words of her husband and hugging him, she felt relieved. Her worry started to fade away, but it didn't go away completely. It wasn't a matter that could be solved by just words. But still, she felt good about it that she had someone to be with in this difficult time.
"I knew you would say something like this. We won't let this happen this time. We can't let it happen this time," she said, looking at her husband while hugging him.
"It won't happen this time. Don't worry. We'll do something about it," her husband said to her, looking at her.
She felt more relieved listening to his words. She hugged him again.
On the other hand, Juan was standing outside his parents' room, watching and listening to them. He had heard the whole matter that they had discussed. It made him anxious and disturbed. He couldn't believe what he had just heard.
Juan wished he hadn'theard. He didn't want to believe it. It couldn't happen. It would bring a lot of destruction. It couldn't be true. He didn't want it to be true. He wanted it to be false. He wanted to know that his parents were just joking. But they couldn't joke about such a serious matter.
Juan wasn't ready to accept what he had just heard as the truth. He was worried about a lot of things and a lot of people if it was true. But Juan had to accept that it was the truth. He had to admit it because he had heard the absolute truth. It would happen if Juan didn't realize the seriousness of the issue. He would become part of the destruction that was about to happen to his world.
Juan gathered his senses and made up his mind to admit it. He admitted it and made himself realize that this was the truth. His parents were talking about a thing that was shortly to happen. As Juan accepted it, the feelings of fear and anxiety overcame him because he was thinking about the aftermath of it happening. It was no good. It felt like the worst nightmare to him.
Juan was in his thoughts when Poro came to him. Poro climbed on him and sat on his shoulder. Juan didn't realize that Poro had sat on him. Poro tried to gain his attention. He started moving his hand on Juans' head and face. But Juan indulged so deeply in his thought that he didn't realize it.
Poro wanted to get the attention of his friend, so he started to make more movements. When the movements didn't even work, he started to make sounds just like a monkey makes to get your attention.
Juan didn't become attentive to his monkey by listening to the sounds it was making, but his parents did. Juan's parents heard some noises coming from outside of the room. They knew that Juan and Poro weren't home but in the lab. So whose voice was it that they heard?
Juan's parents were coming out of the room to see who was outside, and suddenly, the movements of Poro brought Juan out of his thoughts. He saw Poro sitting on him and making noises. He realized that he was standing outside of his parent's bedroom, and they were coming out to look who was there.
Juan gestured for Poro to remain quiet, quickly grabbed his stuff, and went towards the main gate of the apartment. Before Juan's parents could come out of their room, Juan disappeared with his monkey.
When they came outside, they saw that no one was there. Juan's parents were so worried that they didn't think to deeply about who was outside the room. They thought it might be their assumptions and who would be there anyway. Juan and Poro were in the lab, and no one had access to the inside of their floor other than the three of them, Juan and his parents.
Juan's parents thought that they were hearing noises, but no one was there. They went inside their bedroom again, and Juan went outside his house. He didn't know what to do, or where to go now. He was still in shock right then. There was only one place he could go to, so he went there.
Juan, with Poro, went to his lab. When he came to his lab he sat down on his chair. The thoughts about what he had heard were running through his mind. Till that moment he had convinced himself that it was all true. Now he was wondering if this was true, and, if this was going to happen, what would happen then.
No one would be able to afford it, no one. He looked at the belongings of the robot that were left behind. It made Juan tenser. There was this outside creature that no one knew what it wanted, and then the inside creatures wanted it all. There was no end to the greed of humans.
Juan couldn't do anything at the moment. He had already had a long night. His mind was becoming exhausted from enduring all that had happened this night. He wanted to get some rest. So he tried to sleep, but he couldn't even sleep. The same thoughts were coming to his mind again and again, and it was making him crazy.
So he got up and started analyzing the data that had been left by the robot. He made himself busy, and it helped him pass the night.
In Vaztik's world the leaders were gathered in their meeting place inside the forest. The meeting place was hidden inside the large rocks. Only the leaders knew about it, and they got access to that place. Common people of the Yellow World knew that the leaders met up in the forest, but they didn't know where that place was, or how it looked.
To reach the meeting place you had to cover some distance in the forest, and then there was a place which lead to different paths. One went towards the river in the forest. One path went out of the forest where Gonder's house was. One path would lead you toward the borders of the Yellow world. And the fourth path would take you to the center of the forest.
There were other ways to reach all these places, except for the center of the forest where the meeting place was. But this specific forest point lead to four paths that would take you to four different destinations.
You couldn't remember which path would take you where, because this is the tricky part here. Every time someone follows it each path changed its location. The location of trees, and the shape and type of leaves in that path also changed every time someone came. This happens magically.
A long time ago, when the ancestors of the Yellow World found that place in the forest, they decided to make it the meeting place for the Leaders of the Yellow World. Every important decision was made in that place. All the leaders would get the invitation to go there, and they would meet and discuss the matters of their world.
But this was also an important thing to be taken care of. All the leaders of the Yellow World gathered in that place whenever the meetings took place. So, suppose the enemy wanted to destroy the power of the Yellow world. In that case they could just wait for the meeting to happen, and, when all the leaders were in one place, the enemy could attack and destroy all of them at once.
This would have become the weakest point of the Yellow World. The leaders go to the meeting place to discuss the topics of their world, and how to make their world strong and more powerful. Ironically, this meeting place could destroy the power and strength of the Yellow world all at once.
The Yellow World didn't have advanced technology like the other worlds that could make their places safe and secure. They didn't have sensors for detection, or high-security systems. But what they did have was magic. The magic and, more importantly, the Divine Blessings.
The Divine's help had always protected the Yellow World from more powerful enemies. The Divine's help had given the Yellow World the powers of magic. So, using those powers, the ancestors of the Yellow World made a spell for that part of the forest.
The spell worked just as it was intended to. The paths changed their look and direction every time a person went there. If the last time a path had taken a person to Gonder's house, then the next time, the same path might take him to the river, or to the borders of the Yellow World.
So people didn't know which path to take to get to the center of the forest for the meeting place. Also, all four paths changed their physical appearance every time. If one time there were pine trees on a specific path, then the next time, there might be oak trees on the same path, which made it look totally different from before.
It wasn't the case that the paths actually changed their direction or appearance, but the illusion made people see in that way. The magic spell there made people see the illusion in that part of the forest. No one could tell what was real, or what was just appearing in front of their eyes.
Therefore, many people of the Yellow World didn't even go into that part of the forest. They were afraid that they might get lost there. There are also many stories related to that part of the forest, mostly told to the small children to stop them from going there. The parents who were worried for their children, that they might get lost in that part of the forest, told these stories to them.
In that way the ancestors of the Yellow World had saved the most sensitive part of their world. The whole system of the Yellow World was based on its leaders. They took care of each and every issue of their world. They took whatever actions were necessary for their world. They took care of the borders of their world. The leaders also took care of their world's food, because it was their lifeline. Their food had made them important among the three worlds. Otherwise, the Yellow World wouldn't be of any value to the Blue and the Red Worlds.
The leaders of the Yellow world knew about this fact; therefore, they took the necessary care of their world's food. A team just like the Hunter's group was responsible for taking care of the food of the Yellow World. That team was led by Leader Bordo. Under his Leadership the Food Group looked after the Yellow World's food.
They checked if the crops were growing fine. If any insects or pests were damaging the crops. And also if the trees were growing fine, and giving fruit just as they were intended to. They also cared for the health of their plants, trees, crops, and the river, because all the green species were nourished by the water of the river. So the health of the river was also very important to them. Humans also took water from that river, and other animals, making the river's health even more important.
Although the Yellow World was naturally blessed with food, greenery, and nature, there was no pollution, or a source of pollution in that world. But still, the people of Yellow World took care of their natural blessing; they didn't want to lose it. It was a source of life, and, also, a source of happiness for them. They couldn't lose it for any reason.
That was why the people of the Yellow World took care of nature. They had a full team under the Leadership of Leader Bordo that took care of the matters related to food and nature. If anything happened which normally didn't happen, unless some natural calamity occurred, like the great earthquake, then Leader Bordo placed the matter and his suggestions in front of the other leaders. The leaders discussed the matter and came up with suggestions and solutions for the issue. Then Leader Bordo worked it and implemented the finalized strategy with his team.
The meeting place of the Yellow World had been secured, and people couldn't go there without getting lost. So the question arose of 'how were the leaders, who were supposed to go to the meeting place, to get there?' Because the spell was for everyone, then how did the leaders get there? Wouldn't they get lost on their way to the meeting place?
The answer to this question was that the Leader of the Yellow World got some powers that the common people didn't have. The powers were given to the Leader of the world because people trusted him, and he would use them to improve his world as he was the Leader of the world.
These powers included access to specific places that weren't open to all the people, just like the meeting place of the leaders. Also, there were certain other authorities that the Leader got when he became the Leader of the Yellow World.
Leadership is a great responsibility. It's not about power, or all the amenities you get. It was about looking into the matters that you are responsible for taking care of. And the Leadership of a whole world is something very serious, and an extremely accountable job. The life of many people are based on your decisions. If you make the decision correctly, and for the betterment of the people, it will be good. Still, if the Leader is selfish and only thinks about his own benefit he will destroy the common people, and only do good for himself.
Therefore, the Leader of a place, a system, or a world should be wise, intelligent, strong, decisive, and responsible, and have a good heart. He should be able to feel for the people, as well. Otherwise, he won't understand their pain, or the seriousness of the issues that the common people deal with on an everyday basis. Therefore, a leader should be all these things and many more, because there is a responsibility for many lives. And, if he has been given a chance to become the Leader, he should be accountable for his actions.
Sometimes a person leading makes a decision by thinking of good for others in his mind, but destiny has some other plans, and the results are bad. He made a good decision, but it turned out bad. In that case, while you were right, you become bad in the eyes of the people because the odds didn't work out in your favor. A Leader has to have a lot of patience and courage. Otherwise, it would be so hard for him to continue living. This type of thing also happens when you have the Leadership of a certain thing. That person has to be mentally, and physically, strong enough to face all kinds of easy, and difficult, situations. Because Leadership requires a lot of sacrifices, and if you aren't ready for it, then you won't be a good leader.
In Leadership you must put other people's interests first, instead of your own. You have to think about other people first, and then about yourself. That is what a true leader does, and that is what a true leader should do. Leadership is not a piece of cake; at least true Leadership isn't.
The Yellow World was lucky in this matter, as well. The Leader that they had gotten was one of the best of people. He was nice, he was kind, and he was humble. He was courageous and brave, as well. He was willing to fight for his world whenever the time came, even if he was alone, and he had also proved that during the previous attack on the Yellow World.
Their Leader was thoughtful and decisive. He took care of all the issues of his world. He thought about his people's lives. He did things for the betterment of his people, and his world. And despite his powers and authority, he was down-to-earth, and friendly.
His subordinates, and the other leaders, worked with him just fine. They discussed different issues of their world with him, and every time they came up with good solutions. When they implemented them it resulted in good. The Leader of the Yellow World was also accessible to the common people of the Yellow World. People could talk with him without any issues, and tell him about their problems, if they had any. The Leader would take action to resolve the issues.
People of the Yellow World liked their Leader and trusted him. They had an immense belief in their Leader because of what he had done when they were attacked. He stood in front of the armies of the two massive and powerful worlds, all alone, just for the sake and safety of his people. He didn't even think about his own life; for him, the lives of his people were, and are, the most important thing.
This very incident showed his bravery, and how much of a good heart he owned. And not just that one incident; in all the other matters he thought about his people first. He was the favorite Leader of the Yellow World, and everybody liked him.
He was the Leader, Hunter, the bravest, most powerful, intelligent, wisest, and kind-hearted person you would ever see as a leader, and as a person in general. The Lead Hunter was a blessing for the people of Yellow World, just like their other blessings. The Yellow World might be poor in many things compared to the other worlds, but they were the richest in terms of blessings, and good-hearted people.
Leader Hunter was the most good-hearted person among them all. He had done a lot for his people, and everybody loved him. There wasn't a single person who disliked, or hated him. True, it wasn't easy for him in the beginning. At first people took him only as a leader, just like other leaders who had the personality of an authoritative person.
But the Leader, Hunter, was different. He was different from everybody else. He was different from all the leaders they had ever had. He was authoritative, but wouldn't make you feel like you were talking to someone higher than you. He was humble, but also wise and courageous.
At the beginning of his tenure he also faced a lot of dislikes and unwanted feelings from many people, just as all leaders face. But through his works and behavior, people realized how good of a person he was. No one was compared to him as a leader. He was the best. He was the best not only in his world, but he was the best in all three worlds. No leader was like him in either of the other two.
He had good coordination with the other leaders, and good relations with the common people. Therefore, people trusted him. It's not like he didn't face any opposition. Many times it happened that certain people didn't agree with his opinion even now. Still, Lead Hunter resolved the matter in such a good manner that as people came to see what he intended to do, and realized that he was actually doing it for the betterment of his world, they might disapprove of him still, on certain occasions, but no one, -no one-, hated him or disliked him. Later, the people who disagreed with him also realized that he was right, and had good intentions. They misunderstood him at first, making them like him even more later.
Thus, the Leader, Hunter, had done a lot of good for his people, and everyone liked him. As a leader he got to authorize many things, but still he remained humble. One of the authorities that the Leader of the Yellow World had was access to the center of the forest where the the meeting place was.
The Leader of the Yellow World has been given a power by which the magic spell didn't affect him. He could see the path as it was in actuality. The illusion didn't work on the Leader because of the power given to him as the Leader. The ancestors of the Yellow World had created the illusion of magic in this manner.
In that way, only the Leader, who was supposed to be the most responsible person of all, would have access to the most sensitive place in their world. Therefore, he would be able to be sure about the security of the place.
Only the people that Leader Hunter invited to that place could go there without facing any obstacles on their way. Just like Vaztik and her parents had come there after Bulls Without Borders. Vaztik was a common person then. She hadn't become one of the leaders until then. But Leader Hunter had invited her. And for that reason the magic spell didn't hinder their path.
The Leader was also authorized to give access to other people whom he trusted. So Leader Hunter had given access to the main leaders of the Yellow World. Other than him, they were the only ones who could come to the forest's center without getting fooled by the illusion magic. Among these people Gonder, Bordo, and Leña were a few.
Other leaders like Bolo and Vaztik, and many other leaders on the lower level now, didn't have that access. The people required to come to the meeting place were either invited by Leader Hunter, or accompanied to the meeting place.
One of the main leaders would be given instructions to bring that person with them, so that they wouldn't face any obstacles along their way. Most of the time, the subordinate leaders were usually fetched by the main leaders. As they were part of the system of the Yellow World, they would be taken to the meeting place by one of the leaders so that they would feel respected and included.
Leader Gonder was responsible for bringing his subordinate leaders. The Food Group's subordinate leaders were the responsibility of Leader Bordo. Leader Leña was accountable for bringing the leaders of the Hunter's group, who were his subordinates. Similarly, the other leaders were responsible for their respective teams.
Leader Hunter would invite the common people if any meeting was to be held. In this way, the common people felt important because their Leader would himself invite them, and that caused them to feel good about it.
This was the system of the Yellow World which took care of security, as well as the respect of the people.
"The Government of the Blue World," Drott read out loud.
His parents looked at him as they heard him ask who had sent him the letter. His parents didn't know who had sent it, since they hadn't seen the stamp before because they were busy getting ready to go to their respective offices. Drott's mother just received the letter, brought it inside, and put it into the drawer to give to Drott when he came down.
"Who sent it to you?" Drott's father asked.
"It's written on the stamp, the Government of the Blue World," Drott answered his father.
His parents became just as confused as Drott was.
"Why would the government send you a letter?" Drott's mother asked.
"I don't know, mom. Let me just open it, then we'll know," Drott said, and started opening the letter.
Before opening it, he looked at the letter more closely. It wasn't a normal envelope in which the letter was enclosed. The envelope was made of shiny paper. The edges of the envelope were dull gold in color, making it look fancy, yet elegant. The receiver's name, Drott's, was written in silver glittered ink with calligraphic writing.
On the front side of the letter was the government stamp, and on the back side, only Drott's name was written. The stamp was blue in color and looked beautiful with the dull golden edges and the shiny white background of the paper. The letter had richness yet decency in it.
Drott moved his hand across the letter to feel the texture of the letter. It felt smooth. He then cautiously opened the sealed stamp.
Drott brought the letter out of the envelope and held it in his hand. The paper was as beautiful as the envelope was. It was also shiny, but it looked different from the envelope paper.
The text was typed in beautiful calligraphic fonts. This paper had blue colored edges, and the font color was black. Although the font style was calligraphic, it felt like an official letter from the government, but just a little fancy.
Drott, holding the letter in his hands, started reading it. As he was reading it, he was growing happy and surprised by what was written in it. Drott's parents asked who sent the letter to him and what was in it.
"So, who sent you this letter?" Drott's father asked
"It's from the government," Drott told his parents.
Drott's parents were surprised at hearing this.
"What did you say?" Drott's father asked, surprised.
"It came from the government of the Blue World," Drott told them again.
"Why would the government send you a letter?" Drott's mother asked, surprised.
"What does it say?" Drott's father asked.
"It says that I'm invited to join as one of the soldiers of the Blue World," Drott spoke what the letter said.
"What? You? You would join as a soldier?" Drott's mother said, concerned.
"You can't be a soldier. You're too weak," Drott's father said.
"Yeah, you're too weak to be a soldier," Drott's mother agreed with his father.
"I'm not weak. Why do you think I'm weak?" Drott asked, a little frustrated.
"Because you are weak!" Drott's father said authoritatively.
"I am tired of you me telling that I'm weak! I'm strong!" Drott said, annoyed.
Drott was exhausted and annoyed by his parents calling him weak repeatedly. Especially at important times.
"We are not having this conversation right now," Drott's mother said.
"I don't want it either," Drott said.
Drott's father asked him about the letter and the invitation. He said, "Why would the government send you the invitation to join the soldiers?"
"Yeah, why would they ask you to join?" Drott's mother asked, too, following his father.
"Mom, dad, you are forgetting, maybe it's not something for you to remember, but I won the Wolf Look," Drott said.
Drott tried to remind his parents that he had won the most dangerous game in their world.
At which his mother, without considering it a big deal, asked, "So, what?"
This frustrated Drott even more, and he angrily asked, "So, what? Whoever wins the wolf look gets a chance to become a soldier of the Blue World. Don't you know that?"
Drott's father knew about it, so he told his wife, "He's right. They ask the participants and the winner to join the defense system."
Drott's mother remembered that she also knew about it, so she said, "Yes, I recall. I have heard that, too. But why did they ask you? You can't be a soldier. Didn't they see you?"
Drott's mother wasn't ready to believe that the government would ask her son to join the defense system of her world. Because for her, he was too weak and fragile to do any such work.
"What is that supposed to mean, mother?" Drott asked in anger.
"You are not strong enough to join the defense system. It's a tough job," Drott's mother explained.
Drott took a deep breath to let his anger go away and tried to explain it to his mother again.
"Mother, they had seen in me what you could never see. Maybe If you had come to the game, you would have seen what everyone else saw that day in the game," Drott said.
Drott also mentioned that they hadn't come to see him while playing the game.
Drott's father understood that he was trying to make a complaint that they hadn't come to see him in the game. So, he seriously asked Drott, "Really, what did they see? You tell then."
By his father's tone, Drott understood that his father didn't like his mentioning them not coming to the game to see him. Drott didn't want to make this conversation turn into a fight.
"Dad, I did really good in the game. I used my strength when power was required, and I used my mind when my brain was required. I was strong and smart while dealing with the situations. That was the reason that I won. Maybe If you both had come, you could have seen it," Drott said, trying to explain to his father.
"We didn't come because we couldn't handle seeing you getting hurt," his mother said.
"But I didnt get hurt!" Drott said.
"You didn't, but you could have!" Drott's mother insisted.
"I don't know how to make you understand that I am not weak like you think of me. I am just slender," Drott said, frustrated.
"At this age, kids think they know everything and can do anything they want, so they don't listen to their parents. But they soon realize that their parents were right and how wrong they were. Then they regret it later," Drott's father said seriously again.
"Dad, it's not about right or wrong. It's about what I want, and what I don't want. You always don't let me do most things because you think I'm weak," Drott said, keeping respect for his father in his mind.
"This is because we care about you," Drott's mother said.
"Don't you think you are weaker than the kids your age?" Drott's father asked Drott.
"I'm not a kid. And does it matter if I'm weaker than certain people my age? My strengths and abilities are not defined by them. What I actually do will define what I can and cannot do," Drott said, trying to explain his point of view to his parents.
At this, Drott's father said sadly, "Kids now a day's love to have long discussions, but they don't listen to what their parents say to them."
Drott sadly said to his father, "Dad, don't you think parents should also listen and try to understand what their kids say?"
Drott was tired of explaining things to his parents, but they weren't ready to understand him. Drott's mother saw that her husband and son were getting tangled in the conversation, so she tried to draw them out of the fuss.
"Okay, tell us what you want to say. We're listening to you," Drott's mother said.
"If you want that, we can do that. You speak, we'll listen, and we will try to understand, as well," Drott's father agreed with his wife, speaking to his son.
Hearing this, Drott felt relieved and said to his parents, "Thank you so much!" Drott became emotional that finally, his parents were ready to listen to him. He further said, thinking they might also understand what he wanted this time, "I want to read this letter to you."
"Okay, sure, we'll listen to it," Drott's mother said.
"Sure, you can read it to us," Drott's father said as well.
Drott read the letter to his parents:
"Respected Mr. Drott,
Hope this letter finds you in the best of circumstances. Your astonishingly beautiful and courageous performance in the 'Wolf Look' this year made the whole Blue World an admirer of your strengths, techniques, sharpness, and intelligence. How you played the game and carried yourself and your teammates in the game impressed everyone, including the Government of the Blue World.
You very much deserved to become the winner of the game, and we present our congratulations to you.
Furthermore, the Higher authorities of the Blue World are pleased to invite you to join the Defense System of the Blue World as one of the Senior Soldiers, just as the many previous winners have joined.
You are invited to come here in person today and meet the person in charge of the defense system. Hence, you could better understand the task you will perform as a soldier of the Blue World.
It is to be noted that this decision is solely based on your will, and you are not forced to join the defense system. If, due for any reason, you refuse to join, your decision will be accepted graciously.
Good Luck with your future endeavors!
Regards,
The Government of the Blue World."
Drott's parents listened to him reading the letter. It appeared, from their faces, that they had listened to him very carefully, and they also understood what he was trying to make them understand for quite some time. Drott's heart filled with hope and happiness that finally, his parents would understand him.
But his happiness wasn't to come for a long time, and his hope also turned into despair a few times when his parents started responding to what they heard Drott read in front of them.
"Okay, see, we heard you," Drott's mother said happily.
"Now, you can't say we didn't listen to you," Drott's father said.
Their expressions and response didn't look like they got the message.
"Yeah, but did you understand what I was trying to say to you?" Drott asked confused.
"Yes, you were reading the letter to us," Drott's mother said confused.
"Did you comprehend what the letter said?" Drott asked.
"Drott, it said the same thing you told us earlier," Drott's mother answered him.
"They want you to join the defense system," Drott's father added to his wife's statement.
"Just that? And what about the other stuff?" Drott asked.
"What other stuff?" Drott's father asked.
"You did not listen to it at all!" Drott said in despair.
"I don't know what you expect me to listen to?" Drott's father asked confused.
"Are you serious? It clearly explained how well I did in the game. This letter is enough to clear your ambiguities about me, my size, and my thinness," Drott said.
Drott's mother responded, "Oh, that! We heard that."
"I heard it, too," Drott's father also said.
"So, you aren't going to say anything about it?" Drott asked in a serious tone.
Drott was getting angry and frustrated by the behavior of his parents. Although, this was not the first time they were behaving like this. But this time, he thought that they might understand him by listening to the letter sent by not just anyone but the government itself. But his parents were making him disappointed even more.
"Drott, dear, don't you think they must have written the same thing for everyone?" Drott's mother asked.
"Everyone who?" Drott asked.
"They send the letters to the winners and the participants. Do you think the government would write customized letters to everyone?" Drott's father asked him.
Drott's parents thought the government had sent the same letter to everyone. They had written the same praising words in all the letters the government had sent to the other game participants. Therefore, this letter wasn't a big deal for Drott's parents.
His parents weren't guessing a wrong thing. The government and other higher, or busy, companies do this. They just send the same thing to everyone, whether it's an invitation letter, a termination letter, a greeting letter, or any other document. Many times the government and companies use the same template to create the file to send to the respective individual. Only the name of the recipient varies each time.
But this time, this situation was different. The Blue World Government sent customized letters to the people they invited to join the defense system as soldiers. The Wolf Look is a very prestigious game of the Blue World. Everyone loves this game. The participants of the game are highly appreciated and considered tough people of the world because they gather the courage to participate in the game.
The winner is highly proclaimed by not only the people but also the government of the Blue World. Every winner is given huge respect and is considered one of the bravest and smartest people in the Blue World. Drott had done exceptionally well in the game. Like his parents, the audience also thought he was too skinny to be in the game, and many thought he wouldn't even climb up the hill.
But to everyone's surprise, Drott did what many previous winners had not done. Drott had played the game like a pro. He used both his physical and mental strength, and he was calm and composed in the game. Seeing him in the game climbing up the hill, helping his teammates, coping with the other teams, finding the riddles and solving them, and finally, getting the Blue Diamond was a true pleasure for the eyes.
Drott had shown great courage and sportsmanship in the game. After the game, he changed the views of everyone watching him who had thought differently about him, except for his parents. Everyone started to admire Drott after the game. All the people were talking about him winning the game and still praising him.
The praising words written in the letter from the government were absolutely right. They were only for Drott. It was not a copied letter or a letter created from a template. It was a customized letter written by the one in charge of the defense system himself to especially invite the winner of the Wolf Look with great respect and pleasure.
Drott knew that the letter he was holding in his hands was not a typical letter the government had sent to everyone. He knew that each word in the letter was for him only. He understood that the person who had written the letter had seen the game and had seen him play in the game, unlike his parents, who hadn't seen him play. Therefore, they weren't ready to believe him at any cost.
One thing that Drott also understood was that there wasn't any use in trying to convince his parents further. They wouldn't get what he was saying to them, because they weren't ready to understand it. Suppose a person isn't ready to understand what another person is trying to make him understand. In that case, he won't get it until he has decided to come out of his comfort zone and open up to understand the new information.
"So, you think that all the praise in this letter isn't real. It's just something they say to everyone? That's what you think?" Drott asked his parents.
"Of course! What else could it be?" Drott's father said as he shrugged his shoulders.
"They wouldn't write customized letters even if you had won the Wolf Look. They're busy people," Drott's mother also shared her opinion on the topic being discussed.
Drott understood that they weren't ready to understand him, not even now. So, he didn't try to convince them further. Rather he asked for something more important than that from his parents.
"And what about your thoughts about me joining defense?" Drott asked seriously.
"Drott, come on, you know our answer," Drott's mother said.
"We are still on what we said earlier," Drott's father said.
Drott knew what they were trying to say, so he didn't ask them but said it himself.
"That I'm too weak?" Drott said.
"We don't want you to get hurt," Drott's mother said.
"You are our only child," Drott's father said.
Both parents looked concerned for their only child as they had said that to him.
"Yet, you don't care about what I want," Drott said, and sighed.
Drott was sad that his parents cared so much that they made him suffocate trying to protect him. The worst part was that they didn't even realize what they were doing to their only child.
They just thought that they were doing the right thing, and that they were doing good for him. He was just too 'small' to understand it now.
"We care, but if it's not good for you, then we will forbid you from it," Drott's mother said.
"Whether if I like it or not?" Drott asked in a serious tone.
"Whether you like it or not. This is our duty," Drott's father answered.
This deepened his sadness for Drott, but he didn't continue the argument with his parents because he knew it was no use.
Drott said to his parents, "Okay, if you guys think like that, then you also listen to me. I am going to the meeting today, and I will not stop, whether you like it or not," and went towards his room in a rush.
The Blue World was led by a governmental system. A political party was selected in elections by the public vote. That party would run the government of the Blue World for the whole next year, until the next elections, as per the laws and constitutions of the Blue World.
Three main political parties in the Blue World fought in the elections to get to rule the Blue World. The political party that wonn ran the Blue World for the next year. It made all the necessary decisions for the betterment of their world, made new laws that were required and implemented them, and ensured that the previous laws and rules were being followed by the public, and, most importantly, took care of their borders.
The governmental system of the Blue World was led by the ruling party that was selected in the elections that occurred that year. This is the same party that had been winning the last three times. The party's main leader is now the Ruling Head of the Blue World. He makes all the decisions for the Blue World, and people must follow his orders. He had a team of subordinates who assisted him in all matters. Each of the subordinates was designated to a specific position, and that person fulfills his duty as per his designation.
These people, the subordinates of the ruling head, took care of education, health, food, infrastructure, economy, defense, and other matters of the Blue World under the supervision of their ruling head. The ruling party seemed to care for the Blue World and fulfilled its responsibilities just fine. This is the reason for it's being selected three times consecutively.
All the parties competing in the elections promised to do many things for the public, and their world. Each party used different strategies to convince the people that they are their best option. But it's also a reality that no one does something solely for others. People always have hidden advantages they will attain by doing something good for others. The political parties, especially, are the best liars. They will make false promises and make people see dreams of having a good future and a happy and stable life. Still, when it comes time to prove it, it turns out to be just talk.
People of the Blue World, also, knew about this fact. But they had to choose a party to rule their government. The system was there, so the elections happened, and people voted for the parties that convinced them to believe in them. In the end, one political party won and ruled the Blue World for the whole year. People didn't see all the promises made to them getting fulfilled. But it was fine; it managed the Blue World well for the whole year.
So the public voted for them again the next year in the elections. And this year the same political party got the chance to rule the government of the Blue World.
This ruling party wasn't just about serving their world and doing good for their people. It was also like all other political parties that had their hidden benefits. But this one somehow managed to consume its benefits, and do some good for the public. Therefore, this one was getting selected again and again.
There were different departments in the Blue World to be taken care of. The ruling party had people that would work for each department. Each important sector of the Blue World was taken care of by a person from the ruling party who had his subordinates for his assistance. There was a person who took care of the education system of the Blue World. Similarly, other people looked after the food sector, the health sector, infrastructure, economy, and the defense system of their world.
They made plans for each of the sectors they were responsible for and presented them to their ruler, the Ruling Head of the Blue World. He looked into the suggested plans and then approved, or disapproved, or made amendments to them. He ensured that all the people under him were working properly for the betterment of their world.
But these subordinates, the ruling head, and, also, the opposition parties, we're all thinking about themselves and the benefits that they could get from their positions first, and then they thought about doing something for others. The public also knew this. Still, they believed in their words and put their trust in them. Because the public is no angel, they also think about their own benefit first, then other people's. So they knowingly let the political parties do what they did.
There were departments for every major matter in the Blue World. There was also the department of defense in the Blue World. There were soldiers in the department, and they were led by a person selected by the ruling party's head, the ruling head of the Blue World, as the Defense Head of the Blue World. The defense head was responsible for ensuring that the borders were safe and secure, training the soldiers, and looking out for and taking advantage of the activities of their enemies, The Red and The Yellow World. The defense head was allowed to take necessary measures for the safety of their world if he found that it was required for the betterment of their world.
The soldiers of the Blue World were trained to be ready to fight anytime. Because of the conditions between the three worlds, it was no surprise that any world could attack another at any time. Although the worlds had a mutual agreement between them, each one of them wanted to become the strongest and have all the resources for themselves.
So, the Blue World trained soldiers with swords, shields, and arrows all the time, ready to fight for the defense of their world. Most of the soldiers were the winners, or the participants, of the favorite game of the Blue World, 'The Wolf Look'. The winners and the participants of the 'Wolf Look' are the bravest and most courageous among all the people, so they liked to become soldiers and join the defense system of their world to save their world from the dangers of the outside.
The winners of the 'Wolf Look' got the higher ranks among the soldiers, and the participants got the lower ranks. Each year all new soldiers received training from the previous ones under the supervision of their defense head, so they could prepare for any emergency situations. The public also trusted their soldiers for their safety and defense.
Although the soldiers were mostly the participants and winners of the game, it wasn't compulsory that all the participants and the winners would necessarily become soldiers. It was solely based on their will whether they wanted to become a soldier for their world, or not. Many game participants, including the game winners, didn't become soldiers but acquired something else for themselves. There was no hard and fast rule for it.
Similarly, other people, who weren't participants in the game, could also become soldiers if they wanted. Many people among the Blue World's soldiers were like that.
A person entering to become one of the soldiers should be brave, strong, and willing to fight for their world when the time came. This was the criteria for selecting the soldiers in the Blue World.
The soldiers acted according to the orders they got from above. The soldiers were obligated to follow the commands of the ruling party, the ruling head, and the defense head.
