The night of the big event had begun. The great museum of Manhattan was gleaming and spectacular, the night could not be more perfect. The clear sky allowed everyone to see the great moon that illuminated the place, accompanied by several shining stars.
Inside the museum all the guests were enjoying the precious jewels that were exhibited, each one was valued at millions of dollars. The museum floors had security rooms where guests viewed all the exhibits.
This was not a common event, since its guests were people who belonged to the government, celebrities from the world of sports and well-known actors along with other people from different countries. Although what was most striking was the attire of the servants, who were dressed in red and black along with a very peculiar mask.
The mask had a design on the lips of many-colored lines. Around the eyes and other parts of the face, there were small symbols that closely resembled those used in Chinese culture. This was not surprising, since the owner of the museum was Chay-an, a Chinese man, and the entire event had been prepared by him.
At the entrance of the place were the owners of the cars that paraded one by one through an elegant colored carpet. Each one boasted its elegance and its designs made by the best fashion designers.
As they walked through the entrance, all the guests modeled blending with the blue, red, and yellow colors of the carpet, which were reflected in all the photos taken of them.
There were cameras all over the place doing interviews, everyone was full of energy and joy, as the event had been planned and carried out perfectly.
However, no one imagined that other people who were there also had a plan prepared for that night and was about to be executed. Said people walked all over the place, hiding behind the drinks and snacks, peering intently at their only target: the jewelry.
They had quietly invaded the place and had everything under control. They stared at their leader, waiting for the signal to begin. But he was waiting for the arrival of one guest in particular, who was a key to the success of the operation. There was no reason to risk and get ahead, only that person was missing and they could take everything without being caught.
The leader continued to search but did not find the guest. While this was happening, the other people continued to enjoy the event as if nothing had happened. At that moment they were admiring a designer lamp, made especially for the occasion.
The whole place looked like a great work of art, as Chay-an was very detailed and liked to impress others. He wasn't hard to ignore, not only because he was Chinese, but because he was always accompanied by bodyguards.
When Chay-an saw the sports commissioner of baseball come in, he smiled at him and waited for him to approach him, until another guest distracted him and, when they finished talking, the commissioner of baseball said:
“Greetings and good evening, Mr. Chay-an. Thank you for inviting me to such a beautiful evening.
"Welcome, I hope everything is to your liking" -Chay-an answered.
"Everything is impressive" -said the commissioner, very impressed.
"Wait for you to try the food, every detail was strictly planned" -Chay-an assured.
"Of course, of course, I expect no less" -replied the commissioner with a smile.
Chay-an raised his hand calling to one of the servants, who was the leader of the group that was prepared to go after the jewels. Not knowing any of this, Chay-an told him:
"Bring Mr. Just the best drink and also the menu.”
The butler bowed his head and replied:
“Of course, my lord.”
The man left and approached another of the mayordomos saying:
"Switch trays with me, grab one with appetizers, and come with me."
The butler did as he was asked.
“Mr. Worok, I'm ready now.”
Worok, who was the leader, got angry with him, came over and said in a low voice:
"How many times have I told you not to say names?" -Now keep quiet and just follow me.
They both walked to where Chay-an and Justo were. Upon arrival, the leader Worok interrupted them saying:
“Excuse me. Here is what you asked me for, Mr. Chay-an.”
Justin took one of the drinks and commented:
"They really are very tasty."
Seconds later her wife arrived and had another drink for her. Chay-an waited for both of them to taste it and asked them:
“What do you think? There are no more like you in the whole world.”
"It seems to me that once again you don't fail to impress us with the best of the best" -Justo answered while his wife smiled agreeing with him.
"That's what hospitality is all about, I hope you enjoy the night." Now excuse me, but I have to continue” —Chay-an said goodbye to them.
None of them noticed that the Worok leader was very attentive looking around, while looking for the missing person to start the plan. The others continued to serve the guests, waiting for Worok's signal. The good thing was that no one could see their faces, and although they served everyone to the best of their ability, they really didn't want to.
The only thing that everyone could see were the designs of the masks, although they did not pay much attention to them.
Across town, the roar of a speeding car engine was heard. It was a special Ferrari car, it was a unique model from the year 2029 that almost nobody knew about, but even so they were surprised to see it.
It was the most advanced sports car ever created.
The vehicle crossed the bridge that divided both cities at high speed, it could be seen that the driver was not a novice, since the skill with which he drove was impressive, but despite this, it was also noticeable that he was very calm, as if driving that car was normal for him.
Minutes later, after skidding on a curve, the driver noticed that two patrol cars came out of one of the streets and began to follow him. But this did not worry him because, as soon as he saw them, he smiled to himself and said in a low voice, while putting on his favorite song:
“Again? Do they not learn? I will have to teach them as always.”
He accelerated even more and began to weave through the traffic, noticing through the rearview mirror that the patrol cars were getting further and further away from him. But, to his surprise, it didn't take long, as the patrols gradually caught up with him. He was surprised and considered what he could do, but at that moment nothing occurred to him. The traffic did not allow him to go faster or lose sight of them.
Suddenly, a car changed lanes forcing him to slow down a bit, causing the patrols to get closer. The patrol cars were not common, they were Mustang GT Turbo Cobra Model and were specially prepared to race.
They were flawless. The black color, along with the blue and white lettering designs, not only identified them as New York patrol cars, but also made them look intimidating.
“Do you think that having new toys will change something? Let's see how well they know how to use them” -the driver said with a smirk.
To the surprise of the patrols, the Ferrari took a turn towards one of the main streets, skidding between several cars. This sudden stunt allowed him to get away from them, but as he rounded the curve, the driver realized that an accident had occurred not far from where he was standing, and traffic had stopped.
Searching for what to do now, he stepped between two slow-moving cars, seeing in the distance the only street he could escape on.
Time was running out and the patrols were getting much closer. He just had to cross the two lanes without crashing and skidding until he entered the street.
He was almost about to reach the point where he had to skid, until he saw that, from the opposite side, a group of cyclists was coming, who also wanted to cross the street that the driver had chosen to escape.
The officers realized the plan and accelerated much more.
“Oh no, why is this happening to me now? Everything was going so well” -the driver said to himself, as he thought about what he could do.
He was running out of time and the traffic was not helping him, apparently the accident had been serious, and the cars were stopped in both directions. His only option was that street, if he didn't take it, he would have to stay in traffic.
The driver, seeing that the group of cyclists had already begun to cross, hit the brakes skidding across the street and, after making a half turn, stopped filling the place with smoke.
All the cyclists got scared and many jumped off their bikes. Many stared at him, but the driver's gaze was on the patrol cars, as they had stopped in a large barricade on one side of the traffic, on the other side were the buildings, and on the other the cyclists. The driver was trapped.
“Thank you, friends. Now I'm stuck” -the driver said, looking at the cyclists with a half-smile.
All the police officers got out of the patrol cars and began to approach the car, surrounding it. The driver was calm, but attentive since he had no other alternative. He really was trapped.
"Get out of the car and put your hands up," one of the officers standing next to the patrol said.
The driver rolled down the window, which made the officers stop approaching, but one of them yelled:
“Please, don't do something crazy and get out of the car slowly, that's the only way you'll be fine.”
But the driver was not aware of them, he was still looking for what he could do. He said quietly:
“I can't lose, I can't lose.”
The officers got closer and closer, one of them reached the window and said to the driver:
"Didn't you hear, Mac William? This time you lost; you have no escape.”
Another of the officers heard him and went to his partner yelling:
“What have you done?”
Mac William replied:
“Just as you heard, he said my name. I was saved”
At that moment, Mac William noticed that the cyclists had moved. He started his Ferrari and skidded in circles, until he was facing the street so he could get away quickly.
The officer who had mentioned the name shouted:
“It can’t be! I screwed up!”
"Yes, you did, Mario, and now it's escaped us" -said a colleague.
"I'm sorry, Miguel" -Mario said.
"He always manages to escape, it's not fair" -said another officer named Rubio.
"Well, mates, it's time to go, maybe we'll catch him next time" -Will said to his other mates.
They all got into their patrol cars and left the place. Will took his phone and dialed Mac William's number, when he answered, he said:
“I don't know what you have, friend, but you always win at a bet and when you don't win, you draw.”
Mac William laughed and replied:
"They almost caught me, but in the end they ruined everything."
"Don't worry, one day we'll catch you. For now, it is better that you move away from the area, you must be out of here. Now I'm hearing reports on the radio about your great escape, surely reinforcements will be here soon” -Will said.
"Okay, take care, until next time" -replied Mac William, ending the call.
Will heard the roar of Mac William's Ferrari engine in the distance, thinking how close they had come to catching him this time. Without saying anything, he started his patrol to meet his companions who were waiting for him at the meeting point, on the other side of the bridge.
Inside the great museum, the leader Worok paced back and forth, impatient not knowing why the person he was waiting for did not arrive.
Little by little, each guest entered the main hall, while Mr. Chay-an welcomed them. All the guests were impressed with the quality of the details and the perfection that was in that place.
The event, which was broadcast on television, had everyone on the lookout for the next celebrity to arrive. Celebrities, celebrities, luxuries, and entertainment, no one wanted to miss a single detail.
Suddenly, while everyone was sharing, a great crash was heard.
One of the butlers jumped from where he was and ducked under the appetizer table, taking control of the situation. Chay-an and the others, seeing that everything was in order, assumed that something had happened with one of the gas heaters. Worok went over to see what had happened.
"Sir, it's gone off like we planned, now what do we do?" -the butler asked, coming out from under the table. Worok activated his radio and told everyone:
“Don't get impatient, we're still waiting for the fish and its little fish. Keep waiting for the signal.”
The butler took out the damaged tank, Worok looked at it and in a low voice said:
“Vick, you know what to do.”
Vick nodded his head and took the tank to the back of the museum. Upon arrival at the service area, some security agents were there verifying that everything was fine. Vick approached them, showing the damaged gas tank, and said:
“This is what created the commotion. I need permission to go get a spare, they're in the back area.”
“This is not the place; I have no report of this. Now get out of the way” -one of the agents replied.
"But sir, they told me to come here for a part…" -Vick said, but one of the officers got annoyed with him and cut him off.
“They told you wrong, I won't repeat it again. You leave this area, or we'll have to get you out.”
“Okay, okay, don't get mad. I better go” -Vick replied, throwing up his hands.
The men began to laugh, but to their surprise, the gas tank opened, releasing the contents inside, leaving the security agents gasping for air. Immediately, another of the butlers named Tuci came running from the end of the hall with a pair of masks, passing one to Vick.
Both knocked out the security agents. When they hid their bodies, they took their clothing and equipment and dressed as them. They then stood in front of the service door and, using the security card, entered the place where the control room was. Vick signaled to his roommate, and he opened the door.
When they entered, the guards who were there realized that they were not real agents and prepared to catch them.
“Stay! Who are you?” -one of the guards yelled.
Vick's partner, wasting no time, drew his silenced pistol and shot three of them, taking them out immediately. The last one fell sitting next to the surveillance monitors, he was scared, so he tried to activate the alarm, but Vick jumped on one of the tables and kicked him.
“Where do you think you are going?” -Vick asked the agent who was trying to run away from him. "Macnot, grab him!" -Vick yelled at his partner.
The agent got to his feet and tried to punch Macnot, but he quickly dodged, tripping him. When he fell, he slammed the door shut.
Macnot looked at him and with a huge smile he shot him, leaving him lying on the floor.
"Good job, mate!" -Vick said, adjusting his radio. "Sir, we're already in the control area," -Vick said over the radio.
“Got it, Vick, good job. Let's get on with the plan” -Worok replied.
The leader approached one of the mayordomos and said in a low voice:
“Robb, let's go, the party is just starting for all these people.”
They both walked together towards the entrance of the room, looking for the last piece of their great plan. Nobody imagined that, as soon as she was ready, that night would become the longest night of their lives.
From the museum you could hear the roar of the engine of Mac William's Ferrari. Everyone watched as he approached the museum's parking area.
Mac William knew he was being watched, so he accelerated the car several times, shaking the place with the power of his engine. In front of him was the luxurious Belly limousine of the latest model.
As he passed by, Mac William got a better look at the area where the employees were, but he didn't find the person he was looking for. For several seconds he continued to search with his gaze, but he didn't find his friend.
Suddenly, one of the employees approached the car, Mac William lowered the window and said:
"Thank you, but don't worry, I'm just here to see a friend for her anniversary. She must be around here, I'm not here to stay.”
"Well, she's going to excuse me, this area is for the valet, and you can't stand or park here," -the clerk replied with a smile.
Mac looked back and noticed that the others were waiting for him to be finished, to be attended to.
"I think I have the solution, young friend.” -The valet looked at him without understanding what he was talking about. “Look, don't park my car, well, like I told you, I don't plan to stay, but drive it around this area while I wait here. That way the traffic will keep moving, at the end of the day, that's why you want me to move,” -Mac William continued as he opened the car door.
The valet, observing the way the car doors opened, like the wings of an airplane, responded excitedly:
“Of course! I'll do all the laps that are necessary until you finish.”
Mac William got out of the car, taking a small box that he had on the passenger seat. The valet stared at the beautiful box; it was hard not to as it was wrapped in beautiful glittery decorative paper.
Mac William stared at the valet and realized he wasn't a very experienced young man, but he still started the car very slowly and everything started moving again. Mac William looked around, thinking about the lack of control he was witnessing.
“Money and power, but lack of control and hubbub. Life changes fast and watch how it slips away from us. In the blink of an eye, it leaves us, why is it?” -said Mac William in a low voice, until someone interrupted him by saying:
"I catch you!"
Mac William turned around and saw that it was her friend and her husband.
"Rosy, Romeo, they look amazing! I must also say that this is a very luxurious event,” -Mac William said with a smile.
"You really didn't know about this great event?" -Rose asked.
"The truth is that no, I don't usually come to these events, I find them boring," -replied Mac William.
“That will be in ordinary events, but this is a unique event among all. An event like this won't happen again for years,” -said Rosy's husband.
"I don't know, Romeo," -said MacWilliam.
"Let's go inside to show you," -her friend's husband invited.
"I just came to give you this anniversary present," -Mac William announced.
“Come on, friend. This is the museum of the largest exhibits in the world, it is the best. Today's jewelry display is second to none. This is the only chance to see them, I know you'll be surprised,” -Romeo replied.
Mac William was left thinking about what Rosy's husband had said, who, noticing this, went on to say:
"Look, we can go in and walk around. If you really don't like it, you can leave. Simple as that, what do you say?”
Mac William thought a little longer, but then he heard the noise of his car and said trying to escape:
"I don't know, Romeo. They're about to bring my car.”
"If that's why, don't worry. I'll fix it quickly; I know the young man who's running it,” -Romeo replied.
Mac William, realizing what was happening, burst out laughing and said:
“From what I see, they had it all very well planned.”
“I don't know what you're talking about," -Romeo replied, returning the smile.
“Come on, don't be like that. You deserve a change. Besides, there are many pretty women, suddenly you go out with a new girlfriend” —Rosy said winking at her.
“Ok, let's go. But if I don't like it, I can go in peace, right?” -MacWilliam asked.
“Done deal!” -Romeo replied, sealing the deal with a handshake.
“Take this, put it around your neck," -Rosy said, handing her an ID.
“The two of you had it very well planned," -Mac William said, shaking his head.
“Well, there's a reason I told you 'I caught you!' -Rose answered with a big smile.
The three laughed and began to walk towards the entrance of the place, passing by where the large carpet was. Mac William was still not very convinced, but he noticed how happy his friends were to be there with him, so he put on his best attitude and continued walking with them, hoping to spend a great and unforgettable night.
In a building outside the museum, one of Mr. Worok's snipers saw what he had been waiting for. With binoculars in hand, he took the radio from him saying:
“Mr. Worok, the fruits you ordered come in handy.”
But Worok hadn't heard well because of the noise of the fan where the sniper was hiding, so he walked away from the guests saying:
"Eagle, do you read me?" -Repeat what you said.
"The fruits that he ordered have already arrived, but they come with companions," -repeated Eagle.
“Thank you, Eagle, I copy you. Everyone already knows what to do, don't mess up. Remember, it all starts when the last guest walks in,” -Worok pointed out.
"Don't worry, sir, the show will be like no other," -Eagle replied, keeping an eye on his target through the binoculars.
Each one confirmed having heard the leader's instructions on the radio, they knew that the moment was approaching for the real party to begin. In an instant, all the servants quickly did what was planned and, without wasting any time, headed to the strategic place where they needed to be.
Taking great care that no one saw them, they took their weapons and hid them in their suits. Worok, sensing that all was well, said into his radio:
“Luigui, are the rooms ready for our guests of honor?”
“Everything is ready, sir, it will be a special place for them," -answered Luigui, while looking at the chairs that had safety straps located in the room.
“You're sure?” -Worok asked.
Luigui walked around the room checking the chairs and the explosives that were everywhere.
"Yes, I'm sure," -answered Luigui.
“Good job, boy. It's not long now, the fruit is arriving at the refrigerator to keep it fresh, so stay tuned and wait for the order” —Worok indicated through his radio, walking towards the area where the person they were looking for came from.
That person was difficult to lose sight of, because with his attire and his luxuries, he had a very peculiar appearance. She was the most powerful woman in all of India, owner of the largest oil wells and gemstone mines.
She was called Queen Marak, not because she was the queen of India, but because she was the most powerful Indian woman among all the powerful in the world.
Worok discreetly passed by her, offering drinks to everyone, and managed to attach a locator transmitter to her. At that moment Chay-an approached them and with a big smile, he received him saying:
"Welcome, great Indian Marak, it is an honor to have you here with us."
“I wouldn't miss an event like this for anything. Thanks for the invite,” -Marak replied, greeting him with a kiss on the cheek.
"Please come with me to start the show," -Chay-an said.
Queen Marak walked alongside Lord Chay-an, accompanied by her ten bodyguards, who looked around her attentively. It was obvious that they were very well trained.
Worok watched them from afar and started walking in the same direction, while he murmured:
"Enjoy the last few minutes you have left...”
But as he had his gaze fixed on them, he collided with Rosy dropping the tray of drinks that she had in her hand.
"Oh, excuse me, I don't think I saw that coming," -Rosy said, as she helped him pick up what was on the tray.
Worok, somewhat impressed by Rosy's reaction, hurriedly raised the glasses, saying:
"Don't worry, miss, please don't do that. I pick them up, it's my job.”
Another of the butlers, seeing what had happened, came over to help. Romeo, very sorry, apologized to everyone.
Mac William gave Rosy a handkerchief to clean her dress, but as he approached, he saw something strange in one of her servants.
He was able to notice that one of the servants was wearing clothes under his uniform, but what surprised him the most was that he seemed to be carrying a firearm. Why would a servant be armed? Mac William thought.
But something told him that all this was not normal, something strange was happening in that place. Despite his suspicions, Mac William kept his composure and subtly directed his friends towards the appetizer table and said in a low voice:
"I think it's best we go now."
Rosy recognized the tone in which her friend had just spoken, and she answered a little nervously:
“Mac… but, what happens?”
"Yes, Mac, tell us why you scare us," -Romeo added, seeing the way his wife had responded.
"There's no time for this, trust me and I'll explain it to you outside," -replied Mac William.
But none of them knew that Worok was watching them and when he realized that something was happening with them, he murmured something into his radio and all the servants reacted instantly. Eagle took his grenade launcher and said to the others:
“It was time. Time to have fun, let the racing and action begin.”
And without waiting any longer, he fired one of his grenades in the way he had practiced so much. The practice had paid off, as the grenade hit its target, causing a bus to explode.
The fireball scared everyone outside, and they started running everywhere. The second grenade exploded near the entrance of the museum, reverberating throughout the place. Inside, guests were screaming in panic, running around trying to find a safe place.
Mac William, seeing that the entrance was on fire, took his friends by the hands and said:
"Follow me, we have to move." -We must move forward before it is too late.
His friends looked very nervous, but still they let themselves be guided by him. Little by little they reached the entrance of the museum, but no one could get out. Mac William looked around to see what he could do and saw that a large curtain had fallen from its place and caught on one of the windows.
"I know what we can do. Follow me, don't walk away from me” —said Mac William to his friends.
Suddenly, the screams of the guests were heard, followed by the sound of gunshots that echoed throughout the hall.
Everything was chaos, everything seemed to be out of control. Meanwhile, Mac William kept his eyes open and didn't panic like the others. He and his friends moved closer to the window and could hear the explosions outside the museum. There were flames of fire all over the place.
"Come on, we're close. Let's grab that curtain and get out of here,” -Mac William said, pointing to the curtain.
"But you're crazy, Mac, if we do that, we'll get burned," -Romeo warned.
"Well, what do you prefer? Be hostage to these madmen or try to escape from this chaos?” -MacWilliam asked.
"Okay, get us out of here," -Rosy replied.
"Really, this night will be unforgettable," -Mac William said.
"Stop joking, I don't know how you can joke at a time like this," -Rosy said, a little annoyed.
"Come on, friend, get us out of here," -Romeo protested.
Mac William, wasting no more time, gave the curtain a yank, causing it to fall to the floor. He took the curtain and after folding it in a special way, he put it around his companions, leaving a small space to see where he was walking. The fire had spread to more parts of the place, but that wouldn't stop them.
“Well, friends, on the count of three we ran. Just remember to jump when I tell you to. Trust me and we'll get out of this.”
Both friends braced themselves for the signal.
"At one o'clock, at two o'clock and... run!" --Mac William shouted, running quickly.
The three of them under the curtain, ran out into the large corridor that led to the entrance of the museum. The corridor seemed like a tunnel of fire, screams, explosions, and shots were heard everywhere. Everything looked like a war scene.
“Jump!” -Mac William shouted, and along with them, some pieces of wood that were lit on the ground also jumped.
Shortly after, they jumped again. They were almost out, but, taking the last jump, Rosy and Romeo stumbled falling to the ground, however, they had already passed the area where the fire flames were. Mac William was the only one not to fall.
“Look, folks, we did it,” -Mac announced, pulling the curtain back from him. "Come on, we have to move, there's still fire, but not like on the other side," -he continued.
His friends also removed the curtain from them, standing up from the ground. They could still feel the heat of the fire, but at least now they were on the other side of the great fire.
"Look, there's a hole there where they could get out. Go and notify the authorities,” -said Mac William.
“But what are you saying? Won't you come with us?” -Rose asked.
"I can't go yet, there's something important I have to do. I'm a guest at this party, after all,” -Mac William replied, taking the invitation from him around his neck.
“What are you talking about?” -Romeo asked.
But before he could reply, the museum's fire alarm began to sound. Mac William, without wasting time, took the curtain and ran inside the place. His friends couldn't believe what he was going to do.
As Mac William got closer, he heard what he feared most. After the alarm and the emergency lights, the noise of the metal doors closing was also heard. The building was being sealed to fight the fire in a matter of seconds.
If he didn't hurry, the front metal door would close and lock him out. Mac William ran harder and, after jumping, fell to the ground wrapped in the curtain and the door closed behind him.
The museum was sealed. Everywhere you could hear the defense mechanisms putting out the fires. Mac William, from the ground, saw many people running and many others terrified. He also saw several bodyguards protecting clients from him. They all wanted to understand what was happening and what they could do.
Suddenly, the place lost power, everything went off causing many to scream in fear, but seconds later the light returned, and they calmed down.
However, Mac William, with a half-smile, said in a low voice:
“Nice night for all these people, surely it will be an unforgettable one.”
He stood up and looked around, waiting for what was going to happen.
After leaving through the hole that Mac William had indicated, Rosy and Romeo found something they had never seen before. It looked like a war scene out of an action movie. But it wasn't a movie, it was all real. So real, they both feared for their lives, quickly looking for a place to hide.
After a few minutes, Romeo saw that there were some cars in the distance, so he took his wife, and they hid behind them. From where they stood, the glow of the flames could be seen, just as the screams could be heard everywhere.
"It can't be, my love, what the hell is going on?" -Romeo asked.
"I don't know, but we better do what Mac said, who knows what's going on in there," -Rosy replied.
She took Romeo's phone and called the emergency number.
"Hello, please tell me which…" -the operator said, but since Rosy was so nervous, she interrupted her saying:
“Operator! We are in the great museum of Manhattan. You have to help us, there are explosions and shots. It looks like a war.”
"Miss, please calm down...”
"I can't calm down! This here is like a war zone”
"Don't worry, help is on the way. Find a safe place and…” —said the operator, but before finishing what she was saying, the call was cut off.
"Honey, the call was cut off," -Rosy said, handing the phone back to her husband.
"I think we need to go further, maybe they're jamming the signals," -Romeo replied.
“What?! This is getting more and more serious,” -Rosy exclaimed, looking where they could go. "I think over there," -she continued, pointing to some trees and, without waiting any longer, they both ran off.
Meanwhile, the sniper amused himself by shooting at cars, blowing them up, but despite the gunshots and explosions, no one was dead or seriously injured. The sniper had everything under control.
A while later, while he was reloading his weapons, he heard the sound of several sirens slowly approaching the place. Rosy and Romeo also heard them, both of them were very happy because their call for help had worked.
'Mr. Worok, the spoilsports are on their way. Repeat, spoilers are on their way,” -Eagle said over his radio.
"Got it, Eagle. Even if no one has died, stay alert. The magnitude of this plan will surely alert all security agencies, especially with the Indian queen Marak here. From the CIA, even the feds will come. So that's it, I don't want any surprises,” -replied Worok, who walked around making sure everything was in its place. “Comrades, listen. They already know what they have to do. Help everyone, no one should suspect us.”
After saying this, a security team from the museum came out from the back and approached where Chay-an was, who told them:
“Let's look for the Indian queen Marak and her people, we must take them to the main hall.”
It didn't take them long to find them.
"Please follow me, we'll take you to a safer place," -Chay-an told them.
They all went after him, escorted by museum security. Suddenly, Mac William recognized the employee he had seen earlier who was wearing clothes under his uniform.
“Interesting, so there you are. This is getting more and more complicated” —he said in a low voice, while he followed them from afar walking slowly.
Mac William was focused on Chay-an and the others, but it was also hard to ignore what was happening around him. As he walked, he heard many people trying to call on their phones and could see others crying on the ground.
With each passing minute, everything grew more tense. He saw a group of people praying and another trying to climb out of the window to escape.
Mac William watched as Chay-an and the others entered a large hallway, but he was afraid of being seen, so he began to think about what to do to keep them in sight. However, when they crossed the curve, he lost them.
Chay-an's security agents opened the doors to the main hall and everyone entered it. After checking that everything was fine, Chay-an said:
“This room has better security. Guard the door and we'll be fine, for all doors open from the inside.”
Indian queen Marak gave her signal and Chay-an his signal to all her agents and bodyguards to leave the place and guard the gates.
The hall was large and luxurious. He had what it took to be safe until it all passed. Chay-an and Marak made themselves comfortable without imagining what was happening.
Until, suddenly, they both heard a voice and, when they turned around, they saw one of the butlers walking towards them.
"Welcome," -he said as he removed his mask.
“But what is this? What are you doing here?” -Chay-an asked in surprise.
The Indian queen Marak began to cry out for help from her, but her steward interrupted her by saying:
“There's no need to yell.”
"How did they get in here?" -Chay-an asked, but before anyone could say anything else, Marak ran for the door they had entered through.
One of her butlers ran after her and, after catching up with her, hit her in the back with her rifle, causing her to fall to the ground.
"Don't do that, please. I don't know what they want, but there is no need to use violence” —Chay-an pointed out somewhat annoyed.
“That's right, Chay-an, no one wants to use violence. So, you better not do anything stupid. If they cooperate, we'll finish quickly and in peace,” -the butler said.
“I don't know what you want, Vick, but this is crazy,” -Chay-an said.
"Crazy you say?" -Vick answered, waving his hand at him.
When his companions saw him, they discovered the explosives that they had hidden everywhere, behind huge curtains. They brought some special chairs with straps.
"You're crazy, this whole place is full of explosives," -said Chay-an very worried.
The butlers put the chairs in the center of the room and Chay-an, seeing them, continued saying:
“You said there was no need for violence.”
"We'll see, if they cooperate, I won't have to use them. You decide,” -Vick replied, watching Chay-an lift the queen off the ground.
The butlers came in and tied them both to the chairs.
"Sir, the main course and dessert are already secured." We'll continue with the plan,” -Vick told Worok over his radio.
"Okay, just remember to keep everything in order," -Worok replied.
Worok started shooting into the air, the bodyguards came out to neutralize the situation, but the agents they thought were allies took them by surprise, hitting them from behind and knocking them to the ground.
Outside the hallway, Mac William heard the commotion, but he didn't know what had happened. He suddenly saw groups of butlers taking the bodyguards of some guests by surprise. Within seconds, everyone was very well armed. The other people fell to the ground.
Mac William, seeing this, quickly approached one of the groups and fell to the ground with them. A lady in very elegant clothes and luxurious jewelry, seeing Mac William's face, told him:
“You look very calm, young man.”
"Don't say that please, all this makes me very sick," -Mac William said.
"Well, it doesn't look like it," -replied the lady.
"What happens is that I'm shy and I don't show my emotions much," -Mac William explained so as not to arouse suspicion.
"That's good to know, I thought it was just me who was full of nerves," -replied the lady, smiling kindly at her. "My name is Bellamare.”
"Very nice name, mine is Mac William, nice to meet you," -she replied.
Suddenly, they both heard the voice of one of the butlers who had a rifle in his hand:
“Hello everyone, be quiet please. I'm sorry to spoil your evening, but all this fuss is not because of you, but because of Lord Chay-an and the Indian queen Marak. No one can leave until they give us what we're looking for. I ask you not to do anything stupid and everything will work out for you. Don't test me. These weapons are real, and we are not afraid to use them, although we would prefer not to. Who needs to go to the bathroom, raise your hand and one of us will escort you. So, I repeat if you cooperate everything will be fine, and we will go home soon. Have a good night.”
After saying this, Worok continued with his plan as if nothing had happened, while Mac William watched everything carefully.
